Nov 9th, 2011 - These Superb Women

Saya  bertemu dengan wanita-wanita hebat hari ini.

Wanita pertama seorang guru senior yang ditinggal suaminya saat usia anaknya 1 tahun, dan beliau menjadi single parent sejak saat itu.
Wanita kedua seorang karyawati yang masih muda dan cantik, ditinggal pergi tanpa kejelasan oleh sang suami sejak 2 tahun lalu, dengan anaknya yang juga ditinggal begitu saja.
Wanita ketiga bekerja di perusahaan asing dengan jabatan yang cukup tinggi dan penghasilan yang lebih dari lumayan.  Suaminya pergi entah kemana bertahun-tahun yang lalu, juga tanpa kejelasan.
Wanita keempat seorang guru senior dengan suami yang sudah terkena stroke namun beliau masih terus berjuang membiayai kuliah anaknya.
Wanita kelima berjualan makanan di sebuah kantin, dengan suami seorang pensiunan guru dan membuka kursus di rumah untuk membiayai anak-anaknya.

Sungguh Tuhan tidak pernah tidur.

Betapa mereka semua diberikan kekuatan yang luar biasa untuk menahan rasa sakit, untuk berjuang dan melanjutkan hidup, untuk bisa menghidupi diri mereka dan anak-anak mereka.  Saya tidak akan pernah tahu apa saja yang telah mereka lalui, tapi sungguh saya bisa melihat perpaduan kegetiran dan kekuatan di mata wanita-wanita tersebut.  Dan kemudian saya berdoa, semoga wanita-wanita hebat yang saya kenal akan selalu diberikan kekuatan dan perlindungan dari Sang Pemilik hidup.  Karena disaat seluruh dunia berpaling dan tinggallah seorang diri menghadapi itu semua, hanya kepada-Nya lah kita berserah diri dan mengharapkan pertolongan.
